 This is doable with the partnership with specialist in Black Soldier Fly from EVO Conversion Systems, LLC (USA) and JM Green (China). Both of them are same entity in the EVO Consortium. They have the technology developed from 25 years of experience on; the method to harvest black soldier fly larvae after a 7 day growing period, manage black soldier fly diseases and minimize risk of colony collapse, maintain consistent production levels independent of adult colony performance, establish a foundation for modulated production and making production truly projectable.

    Dr. Jeffery Thomberlin, the Chairman of EVO Conversion Systems, LCC is a world leader in scientific research on Black Soldier Fly. He has published more than 100 academic journals on entomology related topics, author and co-author for 7 books.

    JM Green lead by CEO Mr Michael Wu and CTO Mr Spring Yang is the pioneer in operating large scale Black Soldier Fly facility in treating municipal food waste for more than 10 years in China. They had completed 7 major projects around China, treating 20 to 60 ton of food waste per day. Their equipment and operating procedures are adopted by BETSOL.

In addition, BETSOL is listed as member in their EVO Consortium.

 The EVO Consortium was founded to cover all aspects of the black soldier fly industry, so that the members can have more power and synergy to develop.

    EVO provides the fundamental technology to consortium strategic partners (companies) and maintains open dialog with the partners in terms of developing technology or market information. The members of the consortium, who are individuals or companies, develop independently but in a collaborative environment. Each member of the consortium occupies a niche, or fulfills a need of the industry, and together the consortium pursues bigger goals.
    Currently the consortium consists of;
    • 11 companies from USA, China, Australia, Peru, South Korea and Chile
    • 8 research institutions from USA, China, Indonesia, Peru and Italy
    • 9 research collaborators with PhD qualification in their respective field

黑水虻幼虫的生活习性与苍蝇相似,成虫的个体也比苍蝇大一些。相信一般人对这类昆虫的印象就是在垃圾堆中徘徊、在腐烂的尸体上围绕、以及在粪便中穿梭。更有文学作品把它们影射为死亡,也对它们充满病菌的身体敬而远之。

Bahan Makanan Ayam Guna Larva Lalat Askar Hitam 

SERDANG, 8 Jan - Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) akan menjalankan kajian penyelidikan formulasi bahan makanan ayam kampung menggunakan larva Lalat Askar Hitam atau Black Soldier Fly (Hermetia illucens).

Kumpulan penyelidik daripada Fakulti Perubatan Veterinar UPM itu akan diketuai oleh Dr. Hasliza Abu Hassim, manakala ahli penyelidik lain ialah Prof. Madya Dr. Azhar Kasim, Prof. Madya Dr. Mohd Hezmee Mohd Noor, Dr. Lokman Hakim Idris dan Dr. Hafandi Ahmad.

UMT Jalin Kerjasama Mantapkan Industri Akuakultur 

KUALA LUMPUR: Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) hari ini menandatangani dua memorandum perjanjian (MoA) membabitkan dua pemain industri bagi memperkasa industri akuakultur negara.
